Fnality has become the first digital settlement system to join OSTTRA and Baton Systems’ FX payment-versus-payment (PvP) network. The collaboration follows a successful proof-of-concept integrating Fnality’s distributed ledger technology (DLT) with OSTTRA’s settlement orchestration service.
The partnership expands settlement options by leveraging an asset with central bank money-like credit characteristics, recorded on a DLT ledger. This enables around-the-clock settlement, allowing institutions to optimize liquidity management and mitigate settlement risk.
The integration marks a significant step in bridging traditional finance with blockchain-based solutions, enhancing efficiency in foreign exchange markets.
